    Good Job!

Would you consider to have “RESTART” application for UIQ 3.0?

    Hi

How do you changes the Today screen? I mean you have another launcher than standard. How do you change this?

    Many thanks

It’s pretty simple: create a floating control with priority “always on top”. Then periodically (in each second) I check the UID of the topmost app. If it’s the standby screen, I show the control. If it’s something else, I hide it. (with some minor variations, to check the current options).

You can find it in the sourcecode. The floating control’s code is in floating.cpp/.h, it contains the method to get the topmost app’s uid. The creation of the control is started in the AppUi. (search for RWindowGroup, and you’ll find it).

    does it work with W700i?

  7. Pal Szasz on 2006 December 27

No, it’s a Symbian application, more exactly a UIQ3 application.

W700i should have a builtin application for this purpose: in the Notes application select a note and in the menu it should appear “More->Show in standby”

    Hi!

Thanks! Stick-it runs on UIQ3 platform. The other SE platform already has a similar appliations, actually that was the reason I wrote it for symbian ;-)

If you have the W710, I would recomend you tu try out operamini, mgmaps (not the official google maps, but the unofficial but better one)… hmm, and if I have more ideas, I let you know. Actually, I should maybe create a page of favourite apps for SE phones :-)
